Transdisciplinary Colloquium of Gender, Queer, and Trans Studies

TCGQT

With aspirations to magnify the Gender, Queer, and Trans theorists working in their respective fields in Chicago and other Universities, the Women's Studies Gender Studies program in collaboration with The Graduate School and Theology Department developed this colloquium in Spring 2024. The LUC Transdisciplinary Colloquium of Gender, Queer, and Trans Studies is imagined as a space for the collaborative cross-pollination when one mode of study meets another, creating something new and perhaps unexpected.

The first year, we asked scholars of "New Directions" in emerging studies and "What is left of queer now?"

In 2025, we are directing scholars to engage with the past to envision the future of our field. How do these movements and what we overcome build who we become?

Please use the tabs on the side bar for more information.
